Marine Corps planners and executors of disaster relief operations, as well as Japan Self-Defense Force liaison officers, watch a video during a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief lecture May 1 on Camp Courtney. The video, produced by Japanese residents, showed their appreciation for Operation Tomodachi, the U.S. military’s HADR response to the March 11, 2011 earthquake and subsequent tsunami. The U.S. service members are with various units assigned to III Marine Expeditionary Force.
