U.S. Sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) wave to friends and family members as the ship arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, April 15, 2014. The Boxer conducted a deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility and participated in Ssang Yong 14 during Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise (MEFEX) 2014. MEFEX 2014 was a U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific-sponsored series of exercises between the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and South Korean forces. Among the exercises were the Korean Marine Exchange Program, Freedom Banner 14, Ssang Yong 14, Key Resolve 14 and the Combined Marine Component Command 14 command post exercise.
