Absentee ballots in Kuwait

Army Sgt. Gilbert Valdez, who works as a post office technical inspector, sorts and packages outgoing absentee ballots at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. "More than 53,000 absentee ballots have already been processed through our location and now that time is drawing near, we are working extended hours to process all the incoming and outgoing ballots to make sure everyone's vote counts," said Valdez, a Wimauma, Fla. native assigned to the 147th Postal Company from Baumhaulder, Germany. The absentee ballots receive top priority. During the last two weeks leading up to the election, the absentee ballots will go via express mail at no charge to the troops.
