Staff Sgt. Habib Massari, a member of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry, explains how inspections are conducted in Puerto Rico and the Unites States to Soldiers and border protection agents of the State Partnership Program partners of the Dominican Republic. A delegation of Citizen-Soldiers from the Puerto Rico National Guard along with 30 soldiers and airmen of their SPP partner country, participated in a 5-day seminar at the Campamento 6 de agosto in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to discuss the approach used in both countries to avoid and minimize illegal immigration and drug trafficking. They also exchanged first hand experience in the areas of border security that have proven been effective to both, the United States and the Dominican Republic in the past.
