Maj. Jay Bertsch, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron commander, Brig. Gen. Roger H. Watkins, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing commander and Chief Master Sgt. Rory Wicks, 379th AEW command chief, cut an arming wire representing the formal opening of the consolidated munitions administration building at Udeid Air Base, Qatar, March 31, 2014. The west munitions storage area expansion project is a $55.4 million project that began in Jan. 2011 and was recently completed, increasing operational and safety efficiencies that allows multiple organizations to work in one facility. Bertsch is serving a one year assignment and is a Lena, Ill., native. Watkins is assigned here and hails from Fort Worth, Texas. Wicks is assigned here and a Kinston, N.C., native.
