A riverine command boat assigned to Commander, Task Group 56.7 transits past coastal patrol ship (PC 6) Sirocco in the coastal waters of Bahrain. Riverine command boats provide a multi-mission platform for the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility by focusing on maritime security operations, maritime infrastructure protection and theater security cooperation efforts, as well as conduct offensive combat operations.
