Staff Sgt. Darryl Dees, a soldier with B Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, skis downhill after working with other members of the company to deliver humanitarian aid supplies to the top of Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard Area, Fort Wainwright, Alaska as part of an emergency response exercise, April 1, 2014. Soldiers from the company participated in the state-wide Alaska Shield exercise and demonstrated their ability to rapidly respond to any mission, when called.
