Staff Sgt. Asher Prentice, Baker Company 1-15th Infantry, The Can Do Battalion, who reenlisted indefinitely, March 27. Maj. Gen. John Murray, 3rd Infantry Division commanding general, administered the oath of reenlistment in a ceremony outside of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Fallen Heroes Memorial. Prentice, of Daytona Beach, Fla., thanked his command, soldiers, peers and those whose names are forever etched in the memorial's wall. "I thank them and their families for their ultimate sacrifice," Prentice said. With nearly 14 years in service, Prentice reenlisted indefinitely and will be changing his military occupational specialty to food service specialist. He is currently an infantryman.
