Ssang Yong, which means “twin dragons,” representing the U.S. and ROK forces, is intended to strengthen ROK-U.S. combat readiness and combined interoperability and advance the ROK Marine Corps Marine Task Force and command and control capabilities through the conduct of combined amphibious operations. SY14 partners U.S. and ROK combined naval amphibious forces for large scale amphibious training in the Republic of Korea. Wissler is the commanding general for III Marine Expeditionary Force.
