Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, talk with local residents in the simulated Guardian City, in Perry, Ga., March 25. The 1st Bn., 15th inf. Reg., along with two other 3rd ABCT battalions, worked with the 2-3 General Support Aviation Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Stewart, Ga. - both part of the 3rd Infantry Division -during an emergency deployment readiness exercise (EDRE) March 24 to 28. The 3rd ABCT has been regionally aligned to support the U.S. Northern Command. Potential missions include responding to disasters and working with civil authorities. Active-duty military may conduct consequence management activities as part of a unified federal response when requested by a state.
