The Dominican soldiers will assist in force protection during the upcoming Beyond the Horizon exercise which will be held here in Barahona from April through June 2014. BTH is an annual humanitarian exercises which benefits the people of the region. The SMEE benefits the Dominican soldiers and U.S. Army personnel as it enhances capabilities on personnel recovery, vehicle searches, search and rescue, land navigation and personnel search and restraint techniques.
