Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Justin Casey from Bradenton, Fla. directs an AV- 8B Harrier on the flight deck aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) March 14. Bataan is the flagship for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
