Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Scott Stimpson, with the Recruiting and Retention Battalion, pulls himself up a rope on the obstacle course while competing in the 2014 Best Warrior Competition, March 15, at Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Ore. Twenty-one soldiers endured mental and physical tests while competing to become Oregon’s best noncommissioned officer and best soldier of the year.
