Staff Sgt. Michael Meck, the drop zone safety officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Engineer Battalion, out of Fort Bragg, N.C., makes one last check of the drop zone, with a small global positioning system, for more than 80 soldiers making a parachute entry to Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Ind., on March 11. Soldiers of the 27th Engineer Battalion will help CAJMTC improve drop zones by clearing out overgrown brush and wooded areas over the next few days.
