Spc. Randy Young a utilities equipment repairer (left), and Sgt. David Brady, a cavalry scout (center) with 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, are graded on their teams land navigation event by Sgt. Daniel Figini, a 5-1 CAV team leader during the U.S. Army Alaska Winter Games on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The games will test the soldiers and the units’ ability to execute required cold weather skills and tasks and build esprit de corps with tough, demanding and realistic training. There are 29 teams, each comprised of 10 soldiers. The teams are competing in seven different events March 10-13.
