Naval Hospital Beaufort holds the Black History Month Ceremony and Luncheon for the Tri-Command, Feb. 28. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by black Americans, and a time for recognize the role of African Americans in history. The theme for this Black History Month is Civil Rights In America in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The event featured dramatic readers, guest speakers, African dances, songs, and food.
