'Home is where the heart is'

Lt. Col. Hope Jackson, retired, the founding director of the H.O.P.E. Institute and Starke, Fla., native, sits on a heart-shaped planter at the first House of Peace in El Paso, Texas, Feb. 20, 2014. The H.O.P.E. Institute, a nonprofit organization, is a center of excellence for economically disadvantaged and underserved members of society.
