Cpl. Tyler Craven, a Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 combat engineer from Mebane, N.C., and Lance Cpl. Wyatt Almond, a MWSS-273 combat engineer from Baltimore, Md., clean their chainsaws during erosion control operations at Hunting Island State Park, Feb. 14. The Sweathogs removed trees, concrete, and other debris from more than four miles of beachfront at the state’s most visited park to stifle erosion, provide a safer environment for patrons and provide the Marines with real experience in a simulated forward environment.
