Aircraft from countries around the world sit on display Feb. 11 at the Changi Exhibition Center during the Singapore International Airshow 2014. Static displays give show-goers the opportunity to get up close and personal with unique aircraft. The U.S. was the featured country at the airshow, and U.S. aircraft made up 23 of the 96 on display, including a KC-130J Super Hercules and an MV-22B Osprey. The Singapore Air Show 2014 helps build stronger relations between the U.S. and Singapore, as well as among the international community. The event promotes military to military discussions on aircraft and equipment, which enables greater interoperability of aviation platforms, and furthers international military relationships and cooperation. The U.S. is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region, and this event demonstrates a focus of the U.S. rebalance to the Asia-Pacific region. The C-130 is with Marine Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and the Osprey is with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, MAG-36.
