Dave Dagget, construction inspector for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, demonstrates techniques to properly bend steel bars to combat engineers with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Jan. 15, 2014, prior to exercise Cobra Gold. Dagget, who has more than 20 years of experience in construction, also taught a concrete class to help increase the Marines proficiency within their military occupational specialty. Exercise Cobra Gold is a multinational joint exercise conducted annually in Thailand and is comprised of forces from participating nations including: Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the People’s Republic of China and the United States.
