  • On March 24, Sgt. David Showers, a Youngstown, Ohio, native, gives a refresher course on the operation of the M249 to the Soldiers of the 110th Quartermaster Company, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade. The company conducted a weapons familiarization and safety course on the M9, M16, M249 and MK19 weapons. Soldiers were able to perform hands-on training on weapons outside of their individual assigned weapon. The 110th QM Co. is currently serving a 12-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
