A Soldier from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, watches as a 7th grade student from Blackmon Road Middle School climbs a net during one of 12 obstacles, Jan. 9. About 200 7th grade students from the school participated in the 12-station obstacle course at the Warrior Training Center on Harmony Church, which 3rd BTSB Soldiers had been planning for nearly two months. "We wanted to show them that they have leadership potential, that they have the determination to do the course and that they have the motivation to finish it," said San Juan, Puerto Rican native, 1st Lt. Robert Perez-Alemany, the training officer with HHC, 3rd BSTB,"We have a role to tutor, mentor and teach them our Army Values, and we take that very seriously."
