The Georgia National Guard soldiers were supporting Exercise Warpath III, the largest exercise on the Korean Peninsula since the Armistice of 1953.
  • A Georgia Guardsman holds his children for the first time since the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade returned from their nine-month deployment to Afghanistan. The 648th MEB commanded the Kabul Base Cluster, provided security for the Kabul province to include the capital city with a population of more than 5 million, provided governance to include economic capacity building and government development, and provided mentorship of Afghan National Security Forces in their area of operations.
