Sgt. Jordan Markelwitz, a unit operations noncommissioned officer in charge for the 5th Quartermaster Detachment(Airborne), watches as a German paratrooper jumps from a C-130 aircraft during an airborne operation above Drop Zone Alzey Dec. 17. The operation, which was coordinated by the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s 5th Quartermaster Detachment (Airborne), was conducted as a part of International Jump Week in which paratroopers from the U.S., Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Estonia perform airborne operations together in an effort to build on relationships and interoperability.
