San Antonio, Texas native Staff Sgt. Clayton Gouard of B Company, 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, shields himself from an explosion after setting demolition charges to breach an objective during a Joint Readiness Training Exercise at Fort Bragg, Aug. 8, 2008. The JRTX was designed to demonstrate the the 82nd Airborne Division's unique capability to conduct a parachute assault on an enemy objective.
