Major General White-Spunner, the general officer commanding Multi National Division (South East), was invited to say a few words at the opening of the British funded new Department of Boarder Enforcement headquarters, Basra, Iraq on, August 4, 2008. All the various departments of the department of boarder enforcement paraded and put on displays for VIPs and local officials attending the event. Major General Adel of the provicial department of police, Major General White-Spunner, the general officer commanding Multi-National Division (South East) and the Provincial Chairman Mr Ghali, were but a few to watch the parade followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the headquarters.
