Newport Beach celebrates 10 years supporting 1st Bn., 1st Marines

The community of Newport Beach was honored at a city council meeting here, Nov. 26, 2013 for their continued support of 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. For more than 10 years, the Newport Beach 1st Battalion, 1st Marines Foundation has sent numerous care packages to deployed Marines and put together deployment farewell and homecoming events for the Marines and their families. The community continues to support the battalion and plans to send care packages to the Marines with Bravo Company who are currently deployed to reinforce an embassy in the Middle East.
