Col. Scott F. Benedict, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response commanding officer, meets with Brig. Gen. Francisco Javiez Sancho Sifze, Spanish Army aviation commanding general, during his visit to Colmenar Viejo, Madrid, Spain, Nov. 27, 2013. The visit helped to further develop the partnership between the Marines and the Spanish, while ensuring the integration of Spanish and American military aviation in future exercises and operations. SP-MAGTF Crisis Response, currently postured in Moron, Spain, is a self-mobile, self-sustaining force capable of responding to a range of crises to protect both U.S. and partner-nation security interests in the region, while also strengthening partnerships throughout the U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility.
