The Marines set up a recruiting booth in the square and interacted with the tens of thousands of Grambling and Southern University fans attending the game. For 39 years, the Bayou Classic has showcased the long-standing intrastate rivalry between the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State University Tigers.
