Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Alan Apolinario, from Bataan, Philippines, signals the pilot of a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 as it prepares to land on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) to refuel in support of Operation Damayan. The George Washington Carrier Strike Group in coordination with Joint Task Force 505 personnel is assisting the Philippine government in ongoing relief efforts in response to the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Republic of the Philippines.
