Naval Aircrewman (Tactical Helicopter) 3rd Class Peter Olson, from Howell, N.J., removes supplies from an SH-60B Sea Hawk helicopter from the Scorpions of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light (HSL) 49, Detachment 6, assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens (CG 63), and gives them to Filipino citizens in support of Operation Damayan. Cowpens is with the George Washington Strike Group supporting the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade assisting the Philippine government in response to the aftermath of the super typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda.
