Military Intelligence Service Historic Learning Center Opening

Bryan Yagi, president of the National Japanese American Historical Society (center), cuts the ceremonial ribbon with Major Gen. Arthur Ishimoto, a native of Hawaii and first Japanese American to hold the rank of major general. Ishimoto joined the military right out of high school, just after Pearl Harbor and attended the Camp Savage language school.
