Philippine Marine Sgt. Ray I. Zerrudo cooks fish, frogs, shrimp and eggs over Oct. 10 as part of a jungle survival course at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, San Antonio, Zambales, Republic of the Philippine, during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The recurrence of PHIBLEX, now in its 30th year, demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Republic of the Philippines to mutual security and their long-time partnership. Zerrudo is an instructor with Force Reconnaissance Battalion, Philippine Marine Corps. The U.S. Marines he was teaching are with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, which is currently assigned to 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
