Cpl. William Waterstreet, a combat correspondent with the public affairs office of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., cradles a kitten during a Single Marine Program volunteer opportunity to the local Humane Society on Wednesday. Victor Santiago, the front office supervisor of the Humane Society, said there are about 115 animals in the shelter made up of strays brought in by Yuma county animal control along with pets donated by families.
