Infantrymen, 4th Infantry Division attempt a 12-mile road march to earn their expert infantryman badge at Fort Carson, Colo., Aug. 23, 2013. An infantryman must complete the 12-mile ruck march within three hours to certify for his EIB. The 12-mile road march must be completed within three hours.
