Marines run into position during a platoon-level Military Operations in Urban Terrain and counter-insurgency exercise Aug. 15 at the Combat Town facility in the Central Training Area. The event familiarized the Marines with possible encounters they could face on future deployments. The Marines are with Weapons Platoon, Company D, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, currently assigned to LAR Co., Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
