Sailors bond with vets

Capt. Ronald Oswald, commanding officer of the Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Ventura County, shares a funny story with U.S. Navy World War II veteran Willis “Chief” Adair at the Veteran’s Home of Ventura. Sailors from NOSC Ventura County visited the facility to spend time with veterans and pay them tribute. Organized by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and VHV, the Spirit of '45 celebration gave younger service members a chance to share stories with their predecessors.
