Col. Ross Ridge, chief of staff, Multi-National Forces-Iraq, places two silver bars on his son Capt. Ross Ridge, Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment during a promotion ceremony at the 1st Bn., 4th Avn. Reg. Hangar July 5. Both father and son are currently serving in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ridge, who's office is located in central Baghdad made a special trip 12 miles north to attend his son's promotion from lieutenant to captain.
