Capt. Chris Churchill, the assault flight lead, under instruction, with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 “Warhorses” and a San Diego native, leads the pre-deployment brief for his fellow pilots aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Aug. 20. Churchill described the training as a chance to get the squadron’s Marines “back to the basics” of Marine Corps life – constantly ready for deployment to far off lands within a moment’s notice.
