B-roll of Utah National Guard Soldiers and Airmen gathered at Rice-Eccles Stadium for Governor's Day Sept. 18.Governor's Day is an annual tradition in the Utah National Guard where Soldiers and Airmen march in a ceremony for review and inspection by a reviewing party. This year the reviewing party included Gov. Gary R. Herbert as the reviewing official, accompanied by Maj. Gen. Brian L. Tarbet, the adjutant general, UTNG, and Brig. Gen. Michael R. Liechty, Utah's land component commander. After the troops passed and saluted the governor, they lined up in formations across the football field to be inspected and then addressed by Herbert. When the ceremony concluded, the service members were released to their families to enjoy the various booths and activities set up by the Family Readiness Groups. Booths varied from face painting, bull riding, and rock climbing to food and T-shirt sales. Produced by the 128th MPAD.
