    688th Cyberspace Wing

As we stand together as one strong Air Force family, we also stand in unity during the difficult moments life brings. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time for us to remember and support those who have experienced the profound grief of losing a pregnancy or an infant.

The observance of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month has its roots in the United States. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan designated October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

This month, 1st Sgt. Samantha Maghamez , 690th Intelligence Support Squadron first sergeant , bravely shares her story of infant and pregnancy loss and lets other Airmen know they aren’t alone and there is help, resources and support as bereaved parents navigate the grief of infant and pregnancy loss.
