    1st Combat Camera Squadron

A E-3C Hawkeye from the 601st Air Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan and F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 18th Aggressor Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, taxi back from a training sortie in support of Cope North 10-1. Maintainers from the 18th Aggressor Squadron prepare the jets for the next days sorties.
The United States Air Force and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force conduct Cope North annually at Anderson AFB to increase combat readiness and interoperability, concentrating on coordination and evaluation of air tactics, techniques and procedures. The ability for both nations to work together increases their preparedness to support real-world contingencies.
