Captain Harry Ganteaume, Commander Submarine Squadron One, gives his remarks at an Aloha ceremony for the Los Angeles-Class fast attack submarine USS La Jolla(SSN 701) on Oct. 14, prior to its departure from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. La Jolla is scheduled to be decommissioned and converted to a Moored Training Ship, serving as a training platform for Nuclear Power Training at Naval Support Activity Charleston in South Carolina.
