Civilian and military leaders from the 419th Fighter Wing hosted alpine ski racer and two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety for an F-16 flight, Oct. 6, 2014 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Ligety flew over the Utah Test and Training Range, where pilots perfect aerial maneuvers and air to ground weapon systems. Mr. Ligety got a chance to meet the Air Force reservists who help keep Air Force jets combat-ready. The event brought positive attention to the 419th Fighter Wing along with the Air Force Reserve, and helped build a positive image of Air Force pilots, crew chiefs, and maintainers.
