In the near future, Coast Guard Station New York will be building a new facility on the station's grounds. However with this new state of the art facility comes a need for a name to honor it. Available in high definition.
Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffrey M. Palazzo, a reservist in the Coast Guard as well as a member of the New York Fire Department, was one of many who sacrificed his life on September 11, 2001, when responding to the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Palazzo selflessly entered into one of the damaged towers to help assist others anyway possible.
The commanding officer and crew of Station New York, as well as members of the New York Fire Department feel that naming the new facility after Palazzo would help to preserve his memory. Thank you for your consideration.
