U.S. Marine Cpl. Hunter Eden and Lance Cpl. Larry Byrd, Civil Affairs Non-Commissioned Officers, Civil Affairs Detachment, III Marine Expeditionary Force conduct an interview about what the community needs and how stable it is with teachers from Cabayuga National High School - Tagabinet Extension in Palawan leading up to the Amphibious Landing Exercise 15 (PHIBLEX 15). Humanitarian and civic assistance projects offer unique opportunities to build interoperability with our partner nations, while at the same time building capacity and sustainability for the future. PHIBLEX is an annual bilateral training exercise conducted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Marines and Navy to strengthen interoperability across a range of capabilities to include humanitarian civic actions, disaster relief and contingency operations.
