    AFN Iwakuni

For the first time, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni held the honor of granting citizenship to a group of Marines. This historic moment marks the beginning of a new tradition, as Marines aboard the air station can now earn their right to claim American citizenship without having to leave the community. Sergeant Joshua DeFour went to the air station’s Staff Judge Advocate to document this special event. Video contains interviews with Marines from Barie, Ontario Canada, El Cinco, Mexico and Mare Rouge, Haiti. Includes sound bites from Pfc. Kervens Beauplan, Naturalized Citizen, Formerly of Mare Rounge, Haiti; Lance Cpl. Shaqueal Coote, Naturalized Citizen, Formerly of Barie, Ontario, Canada; Lance Cpl. Jorge Meza, Naturalized Citizen, Formerly of El Cinco, Mexico and Col. Robert Boucher, Commanding Officer, MCAS Iwakuni, Spokane, Wash. Also available in high definition.
