USAV Malvern Hill, a LCU, from the Army Reserve’s 481st Transportation Company is used to transfer cargo loaded trucks onto a beach at the Port of Anchorage on March 29th, 2014 as part of the large disaster exercise Alaska Shield 2014. The exercise measures how the Federal Government, the State of Alaska, Joint Military Forces and local governments work together in response of a catastrophic disaster.
