On 29 January, 2014, leadership from the Army, Navy, and Air Force testified in front of the House Armed Services Committee's Subcommittee on Military Personnel regarding Religious Accommodations in the Armed Services. Witnesses included Rear Admiral Upper Half Mark L. Tidd, Chief of Navy Chaplains, U.S. Navy; Chaplain Brigadier General Charles R. Bailey, Deputy Chief of Chaplains, U.S. Army; Brigadier General Bobby Page, Deputy Chief of Chaplains, U.S. Air Force; Ms. Virginia Penrod Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy, Department of Defense; and Rev. James B. Magness, Bishop Suffragan of the Armed Forces and Federal Ministries, Washington National Cathedral.
