NORTH BEND, Ore. - The Coast Guard rescues a man with his dog, June 14, 2012, after the two became stranded on a small island in the Coos River, Ore., approximately three miles east of the North Bend Bridge, the day before.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station North Bend hoisted the man and his dog to safety.
